Popcaan and Drake in their “We Caa Done” video

Drake and Popcaan : Wee Caa Done

Popcaan and Drake shared a video for their new collaboration We Caa Done. The relaxed, delicately melodic track is complemented by director Theo Skudra's similarly peaceful video, which features sun-kissed shots of the Turks and Caicos couple. Check it out above.

"We Caa Done" will appear on Popcaan's upcoming Great Is He , which will be released later this year via Drake's OVO Sound label. Last year, the Jamaican dancehall artist released the singles "Skeleton Cartier", "Next To Me" and "Set It". Drake has since released two albums; Homage to Euro Club Honestly, Nevermind and Her Loss, a joint project recorded with 21 Savage.

Released by OVO Sound, the track is taken from Popcaan's forthcoming album Great Is He, the cover of which was revealed by the artist a few days ago. This is illustrated by Popcaan's portrait, largely inspired by one of Marcus Garvey's most famous photographs of the historical figure.

We caa done what does it mean ?

The phrase "we caa done" is likely a reference to a Jamaican patois phrase "we can done" which can mean "we are finished" or "we are done."
As for the rest of the lyrics, it would be difficult for me to understand the meaning without more context and the full lyrics. Popcaan is a Jamaican reggae and dancehall artist and the meaning of his lyrics can be nuanced and specific to the Jamaican culture.

You don't know Popcaan ?

Popcaan is a Jamaican dancehall artist and songwriter. He was born Andre Sutherland in St. Thomas, Jamaica in 1988. He rose to fame in the late 2000s and early 2010s with a string of popular singles and albums, and has since become one of the most successful and influential artists in the genre.

Popcaan is known for his catchy, melodic flow and his ability to blend traditional dancehall sounds with modern pop and R&B influences. He has collaborated with a number of other artists, both in Jamaica and internationally, and has also been credited with helping to popularize the "unruly" subgenre of dancehall music.

Drake and Jamaican Music

Drake, a Canadian rapper and singer, has shown a strong appreciation for Jamaican music throughout his career.

He has collaborated with several Jamaican artists, including Popcaan, Beenie Man, and PartyNextDoor, and has incorporated elements of Jamaican music, such as dancehall and reggae, into his own music. Drake has also referenced Jamaican culture and patois in his lyrics.
